Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1 cup all purpose flour


  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes


  • 1/2 tsp oregano


  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder


  • 1/2 tsp Salt or as per taste


  • 1 cup water of as needed to make thin batter


  • For the stuffing: 3-4 medium sized boiled potatoes


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder


  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder


  • 1 tsp oil for making the stuffing


  • 1/2 tsp Oil for brushing the tawa


  • 3 tsp oil for pan frying


  • 1 onion finely chopped for making the stuffing


  • 1 onion finrly chopped for the roll


  • 3-4 tsp coriander leaves


  • 2 chopped green chilli


  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1 pinch of asafoetida


  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste

Directions

  • Mix all the dry ingredients together for batter.
  • Mix water in it and make a thin batter and keep aside.
  • Heat a pan and add oil in it and then add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and asafoetida in it.
  • When they crackle then add chopped onion and green chilli in it.
  • Saute it till the onion become translucent and then add the ginger garlic paste in it.
  • When the raw smell has gone then add the mashed potato along with turmeric, chilli powder and salt in it .
  • Mix it and cook it for sometime and then add the Garam masala powder in it and mix it well.
  • Again cook for 4-5 minutes in low flame and then switch off the flame.
  • Brush the tawa with oil and put a ladleful of batter in it and spread it and cook both the sides of it.
  • Put them stuffing in the middle of it along with some chopped onion and coriander leaves in it.
  • Wrap it well.
  • Wrap it from all sides and then fry them in oil.
  • Fry till they become crisp with golden brown in colour.
  • Now your pan fried potato wrap is ready . Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
